International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
I was approached by J.-C. Schneeberger the responsable of Physique Security at the ICRC to reproduce the painting of the Signature of the Geneva's Convention in 1864, originally created in by the french painter Charles-Edouard Armand-Dumaresq in 1865.
The original painting belongs to the town of Geneva and is hanged in the Alhambra room in the City Hall where the signature historically took place. This painting, representing the very first signature of many following Geneva's Conventions, is a significative symbol of the Red Cross creation. Therefore it was meaningful for the ICRC to have their very own painted version of this event to decorate the Grand Salon entrance where all the presidents, deputies and dignitaries from around the world meet.
